Biography of Pastor Miriam D. Gonzalez

Pastor Miriam D. Gonzalez was born in San Juan Puerto Rico and was led by God to move to Florida in 1981. She has been married to her husband, Elvin Gonzalez, for 40 years and has been blessed with three daughters and 8 grandchildren.

Pastor Miriam and her husband have been pastoring the multicultural bilingual New Jerusalem Church, now known as New Jerusalem International Ministries (NJI), since 1991. In 1996, she founded New Jerusalem Christian Academy which provides Christian education to children in grades K2 to 8th grade. Pastor Miriam is currently the Director of Life Christian University Bilingual Campus at NJI in Tampa, FL. Along with her husband, Pastor Miriam has had the privilege of sharing the Word of God at churches, conferences and retreats throughout the United States, Canada, South America and the Caribbean.

Pastor Miriam is passionate about her family and being intimately involved in her children and in her grandchildren's lives. She is also passionate about using her knowledge, talents and experience to transmit the salvation message in her writing. Pastor Miriam has the ministerial gift of teacher. She has the ability to share the Word of God in a simple and dynamic way so it is understood by all. Pastor Miriam holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and a Master's Degree in Christian Education.
