Biography of Steve Mullings

O’Neil A. Reid, MBA, CPA - O’Neil was born in Kingston, Jamaica and is a graduate of Kingston College (Jamaica) and has both a BS and an MBA from Rutgers University (NJ). O’Neil has written numerous track and field articles for TrackLedger.com. He has covered track events from the Carifta Games to major track and field championships. He is also the host of the weekly sports radio show in Northern New Jersey called "The Sports Zone with the Professor”. His show covers sports from a Caribbean perspective with emphasis on track and field. O’Neil has interviewed numerous track and field athletes and has a passion for telling their stories. When not covering track and field and preparing financial statements, O’Neil can be found on the basketball court working on his game. O’Neil lives in New Jerse

Steve Mullings - Steve was one of Jamaica’s most prolific sprinters. The St. Elizabeth native has risen through the ranks to become multiple 200 meter Jamaica champion. Steve, a graduate of Vere Technical High (Jamaica) and Barton Community College (USA) has also garnered several All-American honors. Steve is a member of both the sub-10 seconds and sub-20 seconds clubs. Steve’s time of 9.80 seconds in the 100 meters makes him the 8th fastest man in history. Having competed at the highest level, including world championships and the Olympics, Steve has turned his attention to coaching. Steve considers himself a student of track and field and that his greatest asset is his ability to dissect and correct flaws in any sprinter’s technique and style. Steve is married and resides in Clermont, Florida.
